It was John’s 85th Birthday and after a most delicious lunch in a restaurant it was a Doctor’s visit to get his many stitches out.
To cut the story short it was late and I had to get some more antibiotics for him. While coming back from the chemists in the dark, I took this picture of the new Poshtel Hotel with lights on.
It was an old abandoned building and the owners transformed it into a luxury hotel.
Three Good Things:
1. I gave John some chocolate Turkish Delight and I don’t care if its turkish or Iranian or not - it is certainly a delight!
2. We both refer to google to learn more about whatever we are discussing.
3. Lots of telephone calls from friends!
What a super capture...what would a night cost there...Thinking of you both, not s nice way to celebrate a birthday, pleased he enjoyed the turkish delight...hope that leg heals quickly now.....
Happy birthday John! Sounds like you had an eventful one! I am so with you on GT#2 what would we do without google? I like your posh hotel...a great addition to your town to cater for the important people.
@happypat Yes, the only other hotel caters for the 100's of Asian tourists who stay the night while seeing the penguins, Pat. So this is where you can stay and enjoy the experience!
@bruni Thanks for the birthday wishes, Bruni! I'm feeding him lots of Vit C via red peppers and kiwifruit hoping that might make a difference! We will probably never know!
@golftragic The rather large wound was supposed to be dressed and cleaned by a district nurse but she never turned up! Then the nurse at the medical centre said if it was an ACC accident (as most are) then you don't get the district nurse service! I think that was a lot of b##@sh%$$#@t!
@maggiemae Sounds like it to me MM, not good enough. Can you complain somewhere effective? You definitely need skilled help with complicated wounds. Poor John, I do feel for both of you.
@golftragic John is going to take it further when he goes tomorrow for a check-up with the doctor! This doctor - youngish lady - is good looking and seems to be a good doctor. But when she goes out of the room she bursts into almost hysterical laughter! Weird!
I'm glad to hear the stitches are out and hopefully year number 85 will be a great one! Cool lighting. I really love all the creative things "repurposed" buildings are being used for. Good shot on the run!
