Another new rhododendron -ish. This one has a story. A decade ago we owned 2 much loved dogs who passed away within weeks of each other. Because the boarding kennels where we took them for their holidays (and ours) loved them just as much; when they died they sent us this young rhododendron plant. We planted it with care but when we needed the space to install a parking place in the garden, we transplanted it to be alongside some other lovely plants - lavender, azalea, roses. etc. It took a few years to recover and this year -it is really at its best!
Thankful for:
A great friend who sent us 4 meals for two in “My Food Bag”. Not sure if J can follow a recipe but we will see!
What a little beauty and I am sure you are so glad it survived the move . - lovely shot . Hope John will be successful and you will enjoy the meals ! -- photo to follow ,please !!
I realised when I was laid up for a bit that the most welcome gif5 was food! Flowers are lovely but to have a meal ready to heat up was so lovely....I will remember that in the future! How lovely that story & what a tribute to your lovely dogs!
A beautiful reminder of your doggie friends. We have the cremated remains of two dogs buried in our front yard. One has a wattle tree on top of the casket, the other has a lovely purple polygala.
@golftragic In our last property there are two animal graves we didn't tell the new owners about but the one before that - had 2 dogs, a budgie, several fish and a cat. Still there as far as I know!
@casablanca It was! They were a lovely couple who really loved their lodgers - sold the kennels a while ago and took to the road. Might never see them again!
@happypat John, just the same - said I should go back to the Doctor as my leg was still so sore. I told him that was expected - sore for the first two weeks, have to put leg up for at least 4 and might be months before it is finally better!
Lovely image and reminder of furry friends.
