Sunshine on the next block

My daily walk taken as necessary to healing took me round the corner and I saw this yellow flower on a property! It looked like a poppy but was on a huge bush so couldn't be. Yet to identify!

A good day - afternoon nap, walk, FT from son living in Japan and about to go to the World Cup Rugby Final, bbq meal under the stars!
