My little-est! by maggiemae

My little-est!

He's now 48 so doesn't look so innocent now. I like this one for his neat hair cut (courtesy of yours truely) and his silhouette against the bright light of the outside. It might have been Christmas - opening presents. I think he was about 6 here.
Thankful for"
Scanning - didn't scan this one but took a photo. The scan makes a huge improvement though.
So very precious, where has the time gone!

Wonderful quasi-silhouette. I love that slice of the radio on the left. Magical memory!

What a cute silhouette capture of your handsome son! I thought he was kneeling down in prayer by his bedside . A picture to cherish for sure.

1000 cases of covid19 out of a population of 400,000\450,000 though. We fared well but you have to take the those infected in proportion to the population.

Sweet photo.

Aww! Sweet photo of your sweet boy! You must have a good scanner for it to be an improvement over this. Looks great to me.

@domenicododaro I think that was our TV, Domenico! In the olden days!

@sangwann He was sitting on our bed, Dione - I think those might be my feet under the bedspread!

@kiwichick @craftymeg I think you are both right though I can't remember giving a camera for Christmas or birthday!

@happypat We really will have to scan all our old photos, Pat. We had the unfortunate task of getting rid of about 20 huge photograph albums of SIL. None of her children wanted them!
June 21st, 2020
I cant imagime not wanting my parents photograph albums .. the most precious of everything in the house! Lovely to look back on pictures like this and enjoy memories of the children but also the context of the environment.

@helenhall Yes, agreed Helen - I have about 10 of my mothers and 3 of my fathers which go back to the First World War. Our adult children just love getting the albums out to go over their childhood and growing up stories!

Good old days....

@maggiemae Well is t that sad.....some people have no interest in history that’s the way they are but their grandchildren might in the future.......you can’t store all your family heritage though, enough with your own!
June 22nd, 2020
@happypat In this case, my SIL took tons of pictures of flowers particularly of iris which she hybridised and then tons of travel pictures from one journey!

Hello Maggiemae! I thought I'd drop in and see what is going on in New Zealand. I am sorry for being so unconnected for so long. Ever since my wife retired I've had to reorganize my priorities. The days pass so quickly. Much like our children. Yesterday we were changing their diapers today they have their own families who are going off to college or ready to start a family!
I hope all is well with you and your hubby!

i saw this last night in my sleepy state so i had to come back and comment. it is a fabulous shot, and i was thinking how come you haven't done any of your spectacular story-telling with this? it has a lot of potential, you know! aces!
June 22nd, 2020
@maggiemae Ah well I only like to keep the ones with people on....
June 22nd, 2020
@summerfield I'm a bit stale in the storytelling, Vikki - dare I say - I can't be bothered! Maybe the desire will return!

@skipt07 Thank you Skip for taking the time to enquire! We are both fine apart from age related weaknesses - like getting up from the floor, puffing after too many steps.. etc.

Very sweet portrait.

Oh, very precious. It's hard to talk about it. It is better to look and remember.
