I was pleased to see the hotel had recognised one event we had planned to bury John's sister's ashes in the grave of her Father, Burt Munro. She was 90 years old.
I spent the morning making sure the video was going to go as planned. This was a few days before all the motorbikes generally pour into the city.
Thankful for: this hotel was just opposite the cemetery so we didn't have far to go. And the rain stopped briefly as we gathered.
Sometimes things just work out as planned. Well done.

Well it all sounds like it went to plan maggie. Is John’s dad buried in Invercargill? Nice to think of her back with dad.

@happypat Her husband's ashes were blown out to sea so its not as if she wanted to be with him. Burt's grave is a very popular destination in the Challenge.

@helenhall Thank you Helen - she was totally incapacitated with a serious stroke for 10 years... so it was rather a blessed relief!

@golftragic She suffered a huge stroke 11 years ago and could not talk, walk, use her right side. We suffered with her but were rather relaxed at putting her in a place we will all remember!
