Moth or butterfly..

I'm not sure. It has lots of colour detail on the wings but a fluffy and large body, indicative of a moth.
I opened the window, she/he flew out and immediately perched on the brick outside for a while.
Thankful for;
A lovely sunny day. Avocados for lunch under poached eggs and avocados for nibbles - with salami on crackers.

Butterfly for sure, if only from the long, thin antennae. And the four eyespots make it clear that it's a Painted Lady (Vanessa cardui). https://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/species/Vanessa-cardui

@30pics4jackiesdiamond @juliedduncan @rhoing I think its not a painted lady.(that's me with lipstick on) but a yellow admiral. Due to the bright sun when it perched outside like this you didn't see the yellow on the wings. It looks white here. The painted lady has lots of orange on it. It might be a young 'un!
