Our next accommodation.. by maggiemae

Our next accommodation..

is a farm cottage built for comfort and pleasure. If we had fishing rods, there are fish in the nearby stream and further, a tributary river. However, not our reason for being here. John's elder sister, aged 95 is now in a hospital care centre here having broken both hips and not handling reality too well.
Thankful for: Being able to travel and having good health.
Good luck with the visit - must be very hard for John's sister. My today's post is for your John too! :-)

Too bad for John's sister at her age. I hope she will cope with all the attention and care she will be given. But its hard to find yourself helpless. Lovely small hut to stay in for a couple of days.

So sad for John's sister...so hard not to be able to care for yourself. So great you could both visit....Love those flowers in the forefront.

So sorry to hear about Johns sister…..so sad to have those problems at such a good age….she must be confused & in pain. I’m sure you will see that she’s cared for well. Lovely little home stay place…..is that what you call them or is that a B&B?

Nice that you are there for John's sister - not easy...

@dide thank you Dianne - they seem to care so much in these Care homes - the staff are wonderful!

@sugarmuser She's got through 2 operations so far, Sharon but I can't see much hope for recovery!
January 20th, 2022
@sangwann Thanks Dione - she's got all the comfort and attention that is possible.

@grammyn I had to kneel down on gravel for this photo, Katy! Got indentations in my knee!
January 20th, 2022
@happypat It would be classed as a 'farm cottage' Pat. All the luxuries and comfort! Rural scenes abound!

Nice relaxing cottage amidst the stress of dealing with the medical situation
January 20th, 2022
@maggiemae I wondered if you’ve bent over or kneeled down
January 20th, 2022
@ludwigsdiana the normal hotel we stay at here, Diana was totally full with a wedding! So we used AirbnB.
January 20th, 2022
@happysnaps In some ways, Valerie - its fine as she still thinks she is in the little villa that she had and looked after herself.
January 20th, 2022
@grammyn You can see the gravel in the foreground, Katy - it hurt!
January 20th, 2022
So sorry for John's sister. Nice place to stay.
January 20th, 2022
@maggiemae then I hope she goes peacefully and quickly
January 20th, 2022
@sugarmuser She's not on the brink of death at all, though. Her dementia leaves her relaxed and happy!
January 20th, 2022
@maggiemae I think I would have just bent over. That gravel does look like it hurts
