A Lily? by maggiemae

A Lily?

It is really tiny and you had to be caught by the brilliant blue of the flower to even see it!
My iPhone app identified it as a Tasmanian Flax Lily. Which means it comes from Tasmania - thanks you Australian island!

I was walking back home having been dropped off by hubby in car. Not in our garden.
Wonderful focus on this gorgeous little lily, such beautiful colours too. what a lovely find and capture.

Pretty! Reminds me of our Trout Lily (aka, Dog-Tooth Violet) here in Michigan, and makes me yearn for spring already! :)

yes I was going to say that has to be Dianella ! there are around 40 varieties of it in Australia so whether that is specifically Tasmanian or one of the others is hard to say
