Finished quilting, ready for binding

this is the back
I know I've said this before to you and Marie-Elizabeth @wiesnerbeth: I am in awe of the artistry of quilters!

I love this! I’ve been wanting to try some straight line quilting but I’m afraid I’ll mess it up.

@eudora Thank you! @wiesnerbeth I didn't do a very good job on this one, but I don't care. I actually free-motioned it with a ruler using that machine on the right. Probably would have been more successful with a walking foot on my regular machine, but I'm lazy.

@margonaut How do you like that machine? Not that I can afford a new machine (or even have room for one right now), but I quilt everything on my regular old Viking. I’m almost finished with a queen-sized quilt and I’ve never quilted anything that size before on my machine. I’ve used my friend’s longarm in the past, but don’t feel like I can quilt as well on it.

This is gorgeous! And my guess is no one but you will notice the slight imperfections you mentioned above. I certainly don't see them in this shot!

@wiesnerbeth It's a Sweet 16, still a stationary machine but the big ol' table and long throat make it SO much easier to quilt larger things. Last time I quilted a king-size quilt on my regular machine, my shoulders and arms took a beating. I bought the Sweet 16 from a friend, got a great deal, and I really do love it. It's a little picky about thread though. I've never used a longarm, except at shows. That would require an entire room I think. Not to mention the cost. But every now and then someone wants to sell one...

@margonaut I definitely don’t want a longarm, but might look into this one if I ever move and have more space!
