I don't have a smartphone like an iPhone, Android, etc. I have a little Sony Ericsson that I got 3 or 4 years ago. I use it just for talk purposes and the camera came in real handy when I was rear ended a couple of years ago. It takes real low res pics, not what I deem quality, and video. This pic will probably look like crap on 365 and I may just delete it. But, it's one for @jml0306 Joseph's discussion anyhow!
Maggie, photography is not always about the number of megapixels, the resolution or the complexity of the equipment or gear.
It's about composition, capturing a moment, capturing an emotion and sharing that moment and hopefully touching and connecting with the viewer.
Sundown's are always beautiful moments to share and I'm pleased you shared this with us on 365, because you've painted a beautiful scene and made an emotional connection :)
@phil_howcroft Phil, you are just the sweetest thing! If I were just 5 years younger, you might be in trouble! LOL! You humble me with your comments. Really! Thank you, once again, for your chivalry and gentlemanly ways! You ARE a TREASURE! Hope your wife takes that as a compliment to her and you, too! =)
@traciwood Thank you, Traci! Nice to see you! You haven't answered my comment/questions on your pics yet! You were my first follower on 365 and I won't forget you for it!
You should be happy that you caught this one great moment in time . . it will never be exactly the same way again. Great photo . . beautiful lighting and silhouettes. You go, gal. :)
@marlboromaam Oh I'm feeling pretty ok...did a little shopping today (money spending was on hold for a while there) don't think ill of me...but I ordered an iPhone today....I'm pretty excited- my old cellphone had a huge black stripe up the screen ever since I ran it over about 4 months ago. LOL Every time I got a text I had to open the phone to read it....I really needed a new one. Quiet is awesome...our kiddos are in bed :D
@heidievans73 Why would I be mad? I'm happy for you that you're getting an iPhone! That's great! I'll have to keep mine until it dies! LOL! Enjoy your quiet time! It's good for the nerves and the creativity! =)
What a beautiful sun !!! I live in an flat and I had some trees like those in front of my window, so sometimes I could see this ... but unfortunately they decided to cut'em all ... to make another building !!!!!! >
I love the ability to capture "a moment in time" with my cellphone.... not a "masterpiece". I like the shot and even better is that it was a moment captured!
