I had to fav this because of the amazing clarity of the shot and the soft light, it is a beautiful picture , to not have any flowers or different colors in it. Very nice job
Love the light and DOF you got in this shot. So pretty. But no flowers yet? Around here they are all in bloom. Oh, wait, there is type of crepe myrtle that blooms later, right?
Gorgeous shot Maggie...I love green!!!!! You are 19 pics ahead of me. I'm getting there...slowly but surely. I thought about you tonight when I took the dogs on a walk. Ami stepped on a pretty big snake. I saw it too late. I don't think it moved and have no idea what it was because we kept walking...quickly!!! Anyway, just thinking about the copperheads you warned me about! p.s. I did crank it up!
Thank you for your kind and sweet comments! I appreciate your time and comments! Still trying to catch up on all your pics! =)
@sarasdadandmom You are so sweet, Terry! Thank you for your wonderful comments and the fav! Made my night!
@meisen325 Thank you for your kind comments, Monica. I trimmed these way back in the early spring so they are getting a late start on blooming because of it. These are my white crepe myrtles. The pink and purple trees are blooming but, my watermelon red ones haven't started to bloom yet.
@wannabe Thank you, Catherine! Wow! I'm glad no one was bitten in case it was a copperhead! Yikes! LOL! Glad you cranked it up! This makes my night!
Maggie you should try and catch these right after the rain..i had before i left texas where i have several of these tree's and it really came out beautiful with the drops dripping off the tiny buds...oh and wait untill the sun shines on them...so sparkly and pretty! ..just saying....it just reminded me of something you would shoot! :P
This shot looks fabulous when I view it large! Love the buds, they are so pretty. And the green tones are fresh and attractive. Great focus and DOF. A beautiful shot!
The colors are beautiful and what a great photo, Maggie. Love this song and have not heard it in ages. Speakers are cranked up. Thanks for sharing it. I hope you are not leaving at the end of your 365.
Love this song and this is a great version! We have it on a Chip Davis/Mannheim Steamroller CD . Terrific shot of these pretty crape myrtle buds ... fab focus & love the green on green look.
Very beautiful. It has such a wonderful feel to it. And Classical Gas takes me back to my high school days. LOVE IT. Thanks for the memories ; )
And you are almost there!!!
Thank you all for your lovely comments! Most appreciated! Glad to know some of you enjoyed the ORIGINAL version of Mason Williams' song. There are many later and much later versions, but the original is the BEST for me. Where were you in 1968? I was 12 and in the 6th grade pretending to be "The Girl from Uncle" (Stephanie Powers) at recess on the playground - talking to my ink pen saying, "Open channel D" and my friends playing Napoleon Solo (Robert Vaughn) and Illya Kuryakin (David McCallum - also known as "Ducky" on NCIS). This was back in the day when networks still paid composers to write original theme songs for their TV shows. Both of these shows, "The Man from U.N.C.L.E" and "The Girl from U.N.C.L.E." had great theme songs... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DB9Xh-MZddo Just listen to that sexy trumpet! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p62nHyhdeHQ And just for fun, so you can see "Mr. Waverly"... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZuErXLfQlM
@chummar You are very kind! Thank you for your wonderful comments and the fav!
@marlboromaam I was 12 and in the 7th grade in 1968. I remember these shows but did not watch them, though my Dad did on the only tv we had and he ruled the tv usually. Thanks for the memories, Maggie.
I particularly like this shade of green - moss green? I have a favourite jersey this Colour! I'm looking forward to listening to your music -can't at the mement as th iPad won't open them!
Beautiful focus and color. Thank you for providing the link to the music. It has been quite a long time since I have heard this song. It was one of my favorites "back when".
@jaboney Thank you, Mike! This is one of my white crepe myrtles that line my driveway under the pine trees. I'm afraid they aren't doing so well with the low pine branches on top of them. I've got to have the lower pine limbs cut off.
Thank you for your kind and sweet comments! I appreciate your time and comments! Still trying to catch up on all your pics! =)
