Welcome... by marlboromaam

Welcome...

The top of the sock feeder pole - full of thistle seed that the gold finches aren't touching right now. Shot in black and white - NO conversion here.

Uploading this a day early due to chores I've got to do.
Beautiful pov ...great texture and lighting. So beautiful yet so hard to do. I can appreciate the beauty of this composition now that I've tried some captures. A long learning process .... you're the expert in b&w.

Great b&w

Very nice. Haven't tried b&w yet. Think it will be a while before I get brave enough.

@karenann You are far too kind, Karen! Thank you for your wonderful comments! But, I am no expert! xo

@kerristephens Thank you, Kerri!

@lynnb Thank you, Lynn! I shot black and white way back in my college days before I was allowed to shoot color. I really love it!

Beautiful in b&w. Makes me really look to examine in the absence of colour. Lovely.

Chores? That sounds too much like work! Yuck!

@carolinedreams Thank you, Caroline! I guess it does do that. I just try to look for a balance of pure blacks and whites in my composition. If they are lacking, I know my pic will be flat!

@jdr4690 Thank you, Rob! I have to mow the yards and get my trimming maintenance done before Wednesday.

@cromwell Mowing and trimming my big yards. Care to lend a hand?

@pawar_ramesh Thank you, Ramesh!

@yonnie You are so sweet, Yvonne! Thank you for your comments!

@beckys Thank you, Becky!

@marlboromaam -- No way! That's one of the reasons I bought a condo. No yard work involved. Not a fan.

@cromwell Somehow, I knew you'd say that! LOL! Say a little prayer and cross your fingers. I have applied for a warehouse job with Amazon here in West Columbia - directly with them and the temp agency SMX. My mother is having a fit about it - going on about her daughter with a college education and lots of experience applying for such a job. But we can't be choosy in this economy at our age. It would be better than NOTHING! Hoping one of them will call me for an interview this week. Thus, trying to catch up on chores.
July 15th, 2012
@marlboromaam -- Wishing you ALL the best in luck. I really hope you get it. Working for Amazon doesn't sound like a bad gig in this economy. I can't even get a stinkin' job at Wal-Mart! I would gladly take any minimum wage job right now. You know, the one's Obama constantly says "American's" won't do, so lets keep our boarders open so the illegal aliens can take our jobs? Well, I've reached the end of my rope. I've used up all my resources and the future looks pretty grim for Cromie.

@cromwell I tried Walmart, too... along with Target, Bi-Lo, Piggly Wiggly, Lowe's, Home Depot, Big Lots, JoAnn's Fabric.... ::sigh:: You have several SMX offices in the Orlando area. Won't hurt to try. Don't give up all hope yet! http://www.staffmanagement.com/ So much for Obummer's "Hope and Change" campaign slogan. It should have said... "All lack of hope and extreme change for the worst"!!!!

@cromwell Here's Amazon's link... none in Florida but, give it a shot in one of the locations anyhow. Can't hurt! http://www.workatamazonfulfillment.com/opportunities.php

I've applied to all of those places too...more than once. I'm losing the car (too far behind on the payments) and now without wheels my job options are severly limited. I put up a good fight for a long time, but I have to face facts. I lost. Game over.

It's time to apply for welfare and food stamps. You've paid taxes for a long time. You deserve to have it!!! Lifting you up in prayer and that both of us can get back on our feet with a job!
