I pass this sad, rusty, old, falling down ruin every time I head to town and go home. It's all that's left of what was once a very nice convenience store - gas station. I remember when it was new, but that was when I was just a child. Why they closed their doors - I don't know. It just makes me sad and mournful to see a local "mom and pop" business fail.
Love your recollection of a better time... though this one is long gone I fear the pandemic will be unmerciful to businesses just like it is to people. Prayers for all those struggling during this difficult time.
