My get pushed challenge for last week (not this week, but last week) from @traceyhn was to take a photo of my favorite animal. I told her that I'd probably be late in posting something for her, due to my travel. Nevertheless, I did take some pictures of dogs on campus that were brought there by an animal rescue group. I went over there in hopes they'd have a cat -- no dice. I contemplated just pretending that dogs were my favorite animal. But the photos I took were nothing special and I decided to wait. Cats are more my style. Our old cats have died, though, and my son's cat lives in Olathe (KC area) two hours drive away.
Now cats are not my only favorite animal. I also love turtles/tortoises, red-winged blackbirds, and octopuses. I did see some red-winged blackbirds on my way back from Wisconsin, but I was driving and anyway, I wouldn't have gotten much of a shot at them.
So...this neighborhood cat was hanging around our yard just a bit ago. She was a bit skittish so I didn't get much of a chance at her, but in the absence of an octopus, I thought I'd better post this and go on to this week's get pushed challenge.
@petaqui He does look a bit angry! He certainly was very wary of me -- not too anxious to have his photo taken, but I was determined to get something for my overdue get pushed challenge.
