The Dove chocolates who had returned to the bag (most of the 30, actually) enthusiastically embraced the post-April career I proposed for them, and I bid a fond farewell to a bunch of them this morning in May Baskets. If I have the time this evening, I may make and distribute a few more. I knew I wouldn’t have the chocolates forever, but I have the sweet memories.
UPDATE: I did NOT have (or at least did not make) time between an afternoon club meeting and Welsh chat in the evening to make more May baskets. So the rest of the chocolates are coming to Wisconsin with me tomorrow to be shared with friends. Road Trip, little ones!
What a wonderful ending to the chocolates! It has been decades since I though about May Day. My children used to put flowers on all the neighbor's porches. What a lovely tradition for you to continue Mary
