Have you ever done a panning shot? It took me so long to get that and even now it is often just luck! LOL If you have done that already...and hopefully I wasn't the one to present the challenge...it has been so hard for me to think straight lately, how about a black and white shot that is completely natural...no conversion.

@luvmynynix Thanks! Well...I was once given a panning shot as a get pushed challenge (not by you) and I tried, but failed miserably. I ended up putting together my first try at a panorama instead (to do something that started with the syllable 'pan' ha ha) I could try again, no guarantees I can get anything better than before. I was trying it out on cars passing on the street outside the natatorium on campus. Perhaps I should have tried to capture cars or something going faster. Any advice on subject to tackle? It could possibly be a limitation of my camera -- though probably limitation of my skill...Otherwise, I'll be glad to try B&W SOOC. I've been looking at the last artist challenge artist - Ray Metzker - and am in a mood for B&W lately.

@mcsiegle Sorry for the late response...I just saw your question...unfortunately I don't have any tips...the only successes I've had have been accidental. I do know that you are supposed to match the speed of your subject and continue on the same plane even after you have pressed the shutter...I saw a helpful video at one point...I will try to find it for you.

This isn't the one I was talking about, but after watching it I feel like I want to try again! LOL Hope this helps!

@luvmynynix Very interesting. I'll see what of that I'm able to apply, given the relative limitations of my camera. There are probably ways I can try to force some of what he says to set on your camera. Good challenge to try anyway. I may try to go out next to the highway. Not sure when, though, as I'm now committed to working on the running crew for the local production of Cats that Frank is in. Rehearsals most of the weekend. So I may be late posting something. If it turns out another miserable failure, I'll give you a SOOC B&W instead.
