Barbed Wire Collection by mcsiegle

Barbed Wire Collection

Taken at the Dickinson County Heritage Center in Abilene, Kansas last Saturday.

Apologies for the mass upload of nine photos at one time. I've gotten hopelessly (almost hopelessly) behind during the last couple of weeks while we had friends and family visiting.
I absolutely love this image, Mary. All those textures, and so nicely set off by the wheel in the foreground. A black-and-red fav!

@aikimomm thank you. I was pleased that the wagon sitting in front of the collection provided that strong black element.

@pandorasecho Dixie, this was just one of three framed panels. It was a great collection.

@mothermalarky Carol, we have Frank's dad's barbed wire collection. There are a lot of people collecting it. What we have is mounted on something heavier and not as good looking. Frank commented that we ought to do something similar.

I always thought barbed wire was just barbed wire! This is an interesting collection.
