Indoor Rocks by mcsiegle

Indoor Rocks

Wendy, my get pushed partner, noticed that my posting has been pretty spotty lately. She challenged me to take a photo (or more, I assume) each day. She also encouraged me to check the SH*T list to see what challenges are out there. I see that the mundane challenge is rocks and ends today. So, in addition to posting a couple of other pictures I took in the last few days of rocks, I took this one tonight to qualify for my get pushed, and also complement one of the others entitled "Outdoor Rocks."
@farmreporter OK Wendy, I'm taking pictures. Took a few others earlier with my iPod, but haven't taken the time to see if I like any of them. Was feeling a bit weird/slighly dizzy and took them as I left work early.

This is a great shot and so good that you entered that challenge!
Feeling dizzy? Are you okay? Hope everything is alright with you and your health is not the reason you have been without energy or mojo!

Nice light and detail on the sea monster :)

@farmreporter Thanks for asking. Yeah I'm fine today. It was just yesterday - I went home yesterday feeling a little woozy (sat around a lot -- tried to lie down but would feel dizzy, especially if I opened my eyes) and felt that way through part of the afternoon but by the evening was pretty much back to normal and fully fine today. Weird. I very rarely go home early or call in for being sick. Hardy stock :-)

@paul10 Thanks. I do like that little guy. Just a last minute "lets see which rocks are most photogenic" thing. These rocks were already sitting in with the sea monster/dragon/whatever he is. I suspect he was more photogenic than the rocks themselves, though this shot doesn't quite do justice to them. I'm not a knowledgeable rock hound, but ever since I was a little girl I've liked "pretty rocks" so I have any number of piles of them.

Nice color tones in this shot.

You satisfied the challenge, I'd say. I like the smoothness of the rocks against the rough fish scales.

interesting combination of textures
