My friend, Kim, said to me, “That would be an interesting photo.” She pointed to a spot just outside their picture window and I went over to look. There was a pair of little wings spread wide — presumably belonging to a bird that had died from crashing into the window and gotten buried in the snow with just the wings showing. I agreed that it would be an interesting (though also sad) image, and went to get my camera. When I came back I saw that the wings were no longer spread out wide, but closed in and showed Kim. We realized that the bird under there wasn’t dead! I pulled on my boots and a sweater and, using a shovel that was sitting just outside the door, inserted the shovel deep enough (I hoped) to avoid hitting the bird. I lifted up gently and the little thing got itself out of the surrounding snow and immediately flew off, apparently unharmed. All in all, I was happy to have lost the photo op. At the moment there are lots of little birds at the feeder. One of them could be that one. I have no idea.
Hi, we're Get Pushed partners this week. For your challenge, how about photo of a historic building in your area, but take it from an unusual point of view. Have fun.!
