This is the memorial for my mother that I put up on the top of the piano. Inspired by the ofrendas put up by people in Mexico for All Souls’ Day (Dia de los Muertos) but with my own interpretations. Each year I put it up for those close to us who have died during the year.
You may wonder why it looks so crudely stuck together. Several weeks ago I had to give my get pushed partner a rain check on the challenge given to me — to make a photo collage. “”Shoot small areas of the subject you want to turn into a collage. Try not to post process the photos to keep your final photo unique."
Well the individual photos are SOOC (actually SOOPhone) but I didn’t print them and then assemble a hard copy. I put them together using Ribbet’s mobile app. So...a bit of a cheat, but it’s late anyway and I wanted to come up with something for the challenge, however belatedly.
I think the photo suits the collage concept to represent sewing memories of your beloved ones.
