We went out to Point Peron to watch the sunset (and to get some photos). There were thunder clouds all around us, but quite a distance away. We continued on to Palm Beach and by the time we got there the lightning was really starting to fire up. I didn't have my tripod with me but there was a handy fence post for me to rest my camera on.
I always manage to miss lightning shots.
