A good attempt! The subject matter is okay, but the processing lacks some punch! The sky looks interesting but lacks contrast and clarity. I am not sure what software you are using? A mistake that often happens when you first start processing monochrome in either Photoshop and or Lightroom is you just convert to Grayscale in PS or in LR change to black and white. What you really need to do is channel mix to get depth within the image. You might consider purchasing either Nik Silver Efex 2 or Topaz B&W Adjust plugins that off you much more creativity. Wonderful composition! When I lived near the ocean, I loved to just stand on a pier and listen to the ocean waves ...Your pic is a wonderful reminder of that peaceful feeling.
