I noticed this hoverfly sitting on a garlic flower and was very pleased that it waited for me to get my camera and take a few shots, before it flew away.
Nice timing! Each summer my son tries to attract hover flies to our garden; they are such beneficial insects (and my sons informs me that they don't sting!).
