It took this beautiful pelican a little while to decide that it was time to take off. Unfortunately for me, someone ducked in front of me as it took off, so no shots of the take off.

Thank you for you nice comment. The care of the Callistamon is pretty heavy in winter time. By frozen temperatures I`ve to carry it inside the house. Do they get frozen temp. in you country?
wonderful image, pity you missed that take off! @pyrrhula Callistemons don't naturally grow where you get snow - they will tolerate frost, but really hardly anywhere in Australia gets true cold, not like you know in your winters!
