Lest We Forget _DSC1527

62,000 knitted and crocheted poppies are being installed in Kings Park prior to Remembrance Day. Each poppy is a tribute to a Digger who was killed in World War One.
11,000 poppies have been installed around the Flame of Remembrance at the State War Memorial. The remaining 51,000 are being placed on the lawn behind the memorial.
Seeing this amazing sea of red and speaking to the ladies involved in setting it up was very moving.
Beautiful memorial! FAV!
