Now I know the quality of the picture isn't great, but I had to share the story. We were coming down the river watching this osprey flying with the fish in his claws. Along come two eagles on the attack - they wanted the fish, too, I guess. The osprey managed to evade them and got to this tree with his fish. I wouldn't mind having caught that one - nice size - from another shot I had, we're guessing a bass, maybe from the shape of its mouth. We had just come out of quite a dark backwater area trying to catch some bird shots- guess that's why my ISO was up so.
Still a great shot. You had fast hands and good timing. It must have been something to see the eagles trying to get his catch. Yesterday I was shooting at Chaffinch Island Park and had just put my 300 mm lens away in favor of my short lens and an osprey flew right over my head. Shhhesh!
