I can only believe these temperatures (80 today) have everything totally out of whack for growing. This gorgeous rose outside a neighbor's house almost reached their roof line. But it sure doesn't look like fall!!
This is a beautiful shot and it's even better on large view. I love the rich but muted pinks in it. We get a few brave roses flowering in gardens in December most years here but they are usually rather frost-bitten and raggedy.
The plants are mildly confused here too. My roses are still blooming and it was in the 70s this afternoon. The heaviness of the tones from the backlighting doesn't seem well suited to the delicate pink rose. May I suggest shooting it again when the light is more from the front?
@falcon11@falcon11 Excellent suggestion - and I do appreciate it - but unfortunately, as soon as I mentioned to the neighbor about their beautiful rose, it was cut down and put it a vase! So much for 2nd chance shooting.
