Not only aren't they ready to leave and it's Nov. 2nd, but now they're multiplying! Still in the 80's here today. Let's bring on Fall!

What a gorgeous shot. Love all of the oranges and you got two in one shot! We just got power back tonight after a dark and cold 96 hours. It was warmer outside this morning than in our house! We lost the top of a medium sized pine tree but otherwise emerged unscathed. Will start posting again when I catch up on life.

@milaniet Do you have any idea what the name of this butterfly is? I have caught a few shots of these and i am too lazy to look them up! i sent one into a contest and forgot to lable it! oh well just wondering ...

@milaniet I dont know if i have asked you this before ,,but what part of N.Y. are you from? Im from Yorktown Heights, Northern Westchester..born and raised there!

@ellimae believe they are both a gullf fritillary, Ellen. Have had lots of them this year.

@ellimae I was born in the Bronx, but lived on the north shore of Long Island until I left New York after college. Miss the water.
