Not him - me! Probably not the best place to stand to shoot this, but it all happened so quickly. I was just standing there when he landed, aimed up and shot - then quickly moved out of the drop zone!

I'm dying just to get one photo of a mockingbird. They are not being cooperative at all this Spring. This is such a timely shot that turned out beautifully. Fav.

@jamibann Yes, Issi, it's a mockingbird - they are generally fairly common here and not too hard to get to stay still for a minute

Haha, if it were me, I would be stuck with the droppings on my head and without a proper shot. You were lucky to avoid this and get a beautiful clear capture.
