@sailingmusic I'm really not sure how the background came out so dark (was nearly noon and some sun) did darken it a bit in processing but it was already quite dark on its own. Must have had something to do with the angle I was shooting down on the creek bank. The color of the leaves first caught my eye when the butterfly landed there.

Amazing! On black there wouldn't have been much contrast and it would blend in. But instead there are flame like tips of light leaves surrounding it. Great.
