A Spot of Sunshine

Love the name of these - Partridge Pea - and they've just opened up. They are usually pretty well hidden in among the leaves but there's a nice grouping of them in this one field that I can reach. Stands out well on black.

The light falling on this elegant flower makes it all the more beautiful. The center of this bloom has got some very interesting features, unlike any I've seen. I too like the name "Partridge Pea".
