At least on the walking trail. These bristly sunflowers are tucked behind a tree and cheer me on coming up the incline (can't really call it a hill). Butterflies better show up soon because I'm having photo op problems!
@skstein I understand their maximum height is about 4 feet, but the ones here are about 18" to 2'. We do have some neighbors that have planted the "real" sunflowers that grow over 8-10' tall.
The clarity and focus of this foreground sunflower is just wonderful. The petals glow in the sun's light! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that butterflies find this sunflower as well. (while you're nearby with your camera, of course)
