I Smell an Ambush by milaniet

I Smell an Ambush

The downy is consistent - he creeps up the tree to about this level, hastily steps around to the back, goes up a few feet more, then leaps onto the suet feeder - every single time!
Very nice -- they're almost always on the suet feeder here too.

I've seen this guy before. I'm amazed they become such creatures of habit. Great capture of that handsome chap with that splash of red.

That's funny, that he has a routine in his approach of the suet feeder! Knowing that would surely help in getting a great picture like this; you'd know right where to focus and be ready.

Most of our lives are routine so what's wrong for the downy. As long as he gets his fill it is ok for him. Lovely picture and thanks for the info.
