Drove up to Mt. Magazine State Park - highest spot in Arkansas - and this was the ONLY butterfly I spotted - this area usually has loads in the summer. Glad I found him.

@mccarth1 A girl I know (taught her as a 4th grader) is now working on her PhD in hydrogeology and has just been offered a research asst's spot for the spring semester looking into the decline of the monarch butterfly. I was so glad to hear someone other than us has become concerned about their absence.
