Hitting the News

These beautiful Bradford pear blooms - and they are really beautiful - have been in the news this week. I knew they were stinky and damaged easily in storms, but I didn't know they can cause major damage for farmers and choke out valuable hardwood trees through their cross pollination. How sad.
They're too pretty to be such a BAD plant!! LOL Beautiful shot.

We have tons of them here, too. They are gorgeous right now, but we don't have to worry about hardwoods. We mostly have pines. Beautiful shot.
