Not Totally Ready to Give Up Winter

This is the only white we've seen - touches of frost when I can catch a morning without wind. Not sure the daffodil was as tickled as I was about the frost. Of course, it was nearly 60 by afternoon.
Daffodils are usually photographed in sunshine what a refreshing change to see a frosted one.

It looks so incongruous to see a fully developed flower and a significant coating of frost. Interesting capture.

It looks like someone sprinkled sugar on it. Pretty!

It's not often we see frost on something bright yellow. Usually it's on brown things! Hope the daffodil was able to shake off the frost and raise its head to the sun by afternoon.

Poor Daffs, they do tend to get a shock, if winter isn't quite finished !

Lovely capture, we are the same here, have seen snow twice but lasting only a couple of days, mind you there is still time, I remember when my daughter had her 5th birthday her party only went ahead because all her friends lived in the road, the snow was 3 ft deep and the snow plough made the drifts 5 ft high and my lingering memory was parents lifting the kids over all the snow so they could get in the house!! That was the 18th March!

@craftymeg Love your comment - yikes - you might worry that late in March - bet that was some surprise!! A date that won't be forgotten. I was just reading your biography and noticed that you mentioned using a bridge camera for your wildlife - which one are you using? Curious because that's what I live with - do have a DSRL but it doesn't get the use of the bridge.

Luckily those daffodils are pretty hardy. Sometimes ours are buried in snow and still come back! :)
