First, I'd like to tell you all how very much your wonderful words have meant to me. I have read - and reread - and reread - your postings on the death of my husband and find such comfort in so many warm and touching comments from those I've never met face-to-face but feel like I know as friends. Thank you so much for helping me through this. I knew things were going downhill but wasn't totally prepared for it to be so quickly - which I do know was a blessing for him. Only this group might know what finally got me to let the tears fall - when I shot a picture yesterday and realized all of a sudden that he wouldn't be there for me to show it to. Bill always enjoyed when I'd find a new bird or something special. Thank you for being there for me. By the way, this looks nice on black.
This is so lovely, in so many ways. Being able to turn to this wonderful 365 community is really a blessing. You are in everyone's thoughts and prayers, every day.
Milanie what a touching photo, it brings tears to my eyes, and yours words as well. Wishing you strength to carry on without your best friend in the days ahead. I can relate when you say how much you will miss sharing your photos with your husband, I do the same. Take care
I totally get what you mean re tears falling when you realized he wasn't there to show your photos too...I'm going to go give Jim and extra hug. Thanks for the reminder to be grateful for every day, every shared moment. We will continue holding you in our thoughts and hearts over the days, weeks, months, years ahead dear Milanie
I have always found that you can express your feelings through an image quite freely here on 365 and there is always someone who will relate to you. Since being here I have lost first my dad and them my mum, it was good to come here during that time. Beautiful teary rose.
So glad you're getting out there again, difficult as it must be for you. Know it would be for me. Know that you love nature, too. And if nature teaches us anything it is that seeming cliche but universal truth that life does go on. But I'm sure I speak for all your 365 friends, followers, and admirers when I say that you have been greatly missed and that now that you have begun your return, it is as if a large and significant hole in the fabric of our community is finally beginning to re-weave . Selfishly and wholeheartedly, we all welcome you, your world view, your artistic gifts, and your constant kindness back into the fold. Which is all just a long winded way to say, "What a lovely photo, bud, bloom, water droplets and all."
To echo so many of the others....I'm happy to see you have returned; you were greatly missed and I thought about you frequently. Lovely photo! Sending you a hug!
I hope your many beautiful photos will remind you of your husband and his enjoyment of your photography. So glad you are back. Best wishes as you move forward one step at a time.
Hello Melina take a moment at a time just love your beautiful image and your words brought me to tears as it's just 22yrs my hubby passed you never forget nor would one want too xx
This is a lovely photo, perfect droplets and color; yes, this group does indeed understand your feelings when you photographed this beauty. I, and many others, continue to hold you in the Light.
Beautifully captured and you acknowledgment of this group is heart-fully appreciated. I can empathize with you when you say "Come, have a look at this !!" and there's no one there to share your joy. In my case it happens only when the Boss is a away for a day or two.
A very poignant and lovely image for you at this sad time Milanie. I'm so glad that everyone on 365 has been so supportive to you whilst you are going through troubled waters. Stay strong and keep on posting on 365 - I'm sure it's very therapeutic for you. Thinking of you. xx
Milanie, I am so sorry, have been 'absent' from commenting for a few days. I have just seen the simply beautiful photograph of you and Bill. I knew things were not good, but it was a shock to hear your very sad news. This is such a poignant photograph and that realisation that you will not have Bill to share your photograph is so very hard. Thinking of you and we on 365 will be here to share you beautiful images. x Fav
So sorry to read your news Milanie, I've missed so much on 365 recently. This is a beautiful image, I hope that the therapeutic powers of photography will help you through this difficult time, my thoughts are with you.
I am so very sorry to read of your husband's passing, Milanie. You've both been in my thoughts and prayers over the past weeks. A very heartfelt prayer for you straight from the Bible (Numbers 6: 24-26)...
The Lord bless you, and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine on you,
and be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance on you,
and give you peace.
Your photo is beautiful ...as are you. Your kind comments here on 365 over the years have brought great joy into the lives of many, and I'm glad to see you continuing on your photographic journey. From Heaven, Bill will see each photo you take; and he'll love every one.
A beautiful and poignant image ... oh Millanie I am so sorry to hear the loss of your husband ... your words here, and over the past weeks show how much he meant to you ... I found your words beautiful and so moving ... I agree with Janet B... you have posted so many lovely comments on my photos, as well as many others, which I have truly appreciated ... I send you all my love and hugs at this sorrowful time xxx Ali :( fav
Melanie, you are inspire me. I love that you got up and looked outside for your photograph, and then found a teared up rose. Nature has a way of lifting one up, reminding us we are all a part of everything. You are such a kind and courageous person, I hope the world holds you gently for a while. Prior to my mother's passing, I asked her where would I find her when she was gone. She told me in the trees, and my voice the breeze, so I go to the trees everyday to say hello. I think of you often, and send blessings and loving kindness.
Lovely, Milanie and it certainly does come into its own on black.
It's so good to see you posting again - I know from experience how therapeutic the 365 project can be when needed, and the community spirit here is lovely.
Milanie - I've been away for a few days so only just catching up on your lovely photos and your sad news. Prayers continue for you on this side of the pond, as you find your way to a new pattern of living. The photography, as others have said, may be a real place of stability and focus (even though Bill not here to share it anymore) which will help you a day at a time. I really enjoy your images and the captions you come up with. I am so glad you are continuing:) Peace, comfort, and prayers.
Dear Milanie, my heart is suddenly aching for you, realizing just now that you're without your precious friend and husband Bill. I feel badly for being away and thus unaware of the trials he (and you) were going through concerning his health. Your sharing about not having him there to share your pictures with made me choke up and get teary-eyed — life is best enjoyed in the company of someone to share things with, isn't it.... I'm so sorry you don't have Bill to share things with anymore. So glad you're still finding beauty in the world with your camera though. What a trooper you are. Bill would surely be impressed with his gal's will to carry on.
