I see deer so infrequently where I live in town that it just makes my day when it starts off with walking up on young deer on my morning walk - 4 of them, in fact.
Fortunately, they stood still long enough to get a shot. Seems like the ones that I see are running away.. Looks like a little buck in the back right. Great capture.
They are certainly alerted to your presence, and I bet you had to be really quick to get this shot off. Terrific lighting, with the background in deep shadow.
Fabulous capture! I see them quite often around here but I still get excited every time. I've been on the lookout for some fawns . . . I know they're out there but they're hidden well and not walking around a lot yet. :-)
The only place (other then a wildlife park) I have come across deer is on the turnpike. Not a good place to pull over for a shot. Like cows and horses they are curious.
So lovely ... yes I agree .. I too live in a town ... so seems like a special treat arranged just for you when you happen on some amazing wildlife ... super image :)
