Finally the humidity dropped and the temperatures were a teeny bit cooler - so went up to Mt. Magazine to enjoy the day. First time I've found more than 3 decent shots in a while! Loads of Gulf Fritillaries enjoying whatever this white flower is. Only way I could get him though was to shoot low between two blades of grass.

@louannwarren Yes this is the new Sony. Love the colors it gives - it's heavier so I don't always do my morning walks with it, but it always goes when I think I really might find something :)
Yes, they certainly do like to hide from us . . . or fly off just as we're getting ready to take the shot. I get so frustrated when they do that. Wonderful capture of this beauty! Fav! :-)
