I mentioned yesterday how impressed I was with the hiking trails around Columbia, Missouri. They took me to another one in town this morning - taking advantage of the shade and "slightly" better temperatures early in the day.
Reminds me of the lovely old books "How Green Was My Valley: set in the coal mining villages in Wales. Looks nothing like Wales, of course, but the intense cool green just stirred a memory. Looks a lovely cool place to walk.
There are some very pretty views here- and in a way they remind me of one near here. Sadly our storms this past winter have destroyed many of the walkways and it will be years before they reopen it I've been told. Great collage!
