This is the only thing that's making photography interesting these days. Not happy with this time of year! Remember, I'm about 1" in front of this . This is a little easier than the pinwheel.
@shirleyv No tripod - using an extension tube on a 50mm lens. Being so close (imagine about an inch or so) I've been real surprised at how well they do. Mostly I'm practically laying down while shooting these because they're on the ground.
No idea, but cool capture. I'm down to about 6 inches with the tube that I have. Guess if I stacked another one on there, it might get even closer. I pretty much have to use the tripod to try to get the focus.
@milaniet The ground is your tripod! Will have to try. I recently got the Tokina 100 MM. It's an incredibly sharp lens, and I have a hard time when hand holding almost that close. Will try laying down on the ground soon! Thanks for the info!
the clues are:
On the ground, 1inch in front of it, and obviously its not at home, because you forgot your tripod.
I would say that silver thingie at the bottom (ground level) of doors/desks/walls
