Was lucky enough to catch the oriole in the same tree by the inlet this morning. Heard him before I could spot him, so started watching. I was curious about the deep orange - it seems the older they are, the deeper their color. Spotted one almost yellow and it said it was a young male.
@jgpittenger I know the guys fishing off the bank thought there was a crazy woman circling the table pointing a camera up at a tree - (trying to find a good background with the wind blowing)
He's caught a nice bug, too. I was hoping to get a good oriole shot this year (not on a feeder) but they never come down low enough. They are singing like crazy, though.
I've been trying to attract them to my backyard feeder with an orange, but no luck yet!
