One Patient Butterfly

Caught this black swallowtail in spite of - rather than because of - all the extra help. That being Jerik running after it- climbing on the bench to be 6" from it and shouting "butterfly" at him continually. How do you teach a 4 year old stealth mode?? But I was tickled to see him so interested in him.

When I'm with my grands, I always remind myself "Better to foster wonder, than to have a good shot." I love that he was telling the butterfly what he was. Very cute! Beautiful shot.
