I usually find fungi on dead limbs on the ground, so this one caught me by surprise. The limb - quite healthy - was about 10 feet up and pointed across the creek - the light color caught my eye. Thought it looked rather pretty up there.
Those are amazing. I have never seen anything like this on my walks and such a pretty pink color! It might be a member of this family: Meruliaceae. There is a pink one called jelly rot, but I can't be sure.
