The Safer Spot by milaniet

The Safer Spot

From two mornings ago. I was in hope of a decent sunrise - but no clouds unfortunately. Went over behind the cemetery and there was some color starting so stopped here and shot this. Then went on 50 ft. to where I can climb down the bluff a little and get a better view. By then nothing interesting developed.

Listened to the local news yesterday and a 16 year old had been killed that afternoon falling off the bluff in the spot I had climbed down to. He dropped his phone and leaned too far trying to get it. May have been some alcohol involved as there were 3 of them and the other 2 ran and later called a friend. Will be even more cautious there now - always wear my hiking boots and carry a hiking stick - it's just a short climb.
Such a sad story about the youth who lost his life at this beautiful spot. The color in this image is so gorgeous.

Oh how awful, poor lad. I can see why people are drawn to this spot as it's very beautiful.
A lovely colourful shot and super silhouettes, please be careful.

This is beautiful but oh how sad to hear of that teen. They are invincible and put way too much stock in their phones. It will haunt his friends forever. I'm glad you are cautious- but still be careful!
