Have seen no birds in my yard in a long time - even checked the feeders and there's still plenty of seed. Finally spotted this young mockingbird on my walk the other morning. Otherwise, it's sure been quiet.
Love these guys ! Birds here are starting to migrate ... there are early migrators and later migrators .... glad he is sticking around. Great capture ...love the light !
Cute little guy. We had a disease running through the songbirds this summer. So sad! Folks were advised to take in their feeders for a short time so that it didn't spread. It seems to have worked. The Nuthatches, Chickadees and Titmouse have returned and are busy at my feeder again. I wonder if it spread down your way and that is why you haven't seen as many birds.
We have chickadees and blue jays at our feeder right now!
