Scavenger Hunt - barn

We, too, have some colorful barns in Arkansas - though most I've seen are in much worse shape and not nearly as colorful. This has such a pretty setting at the base of the hill on one of the main highways.
Yep, definitely a barn

I've seen really terrible looking barns this one here is still in good shape and the picture makes the barn look down right gorgeous...Nice shot Milanie!

That does look like a very pretty barn. You get an "A"! I think the tractor adds a fun dimension.

I just read your profile and wow what a change in demographics. From the land of Michael Bloomberg to the land of Mike Huckabee. I was just wondering if you are from New York state or New York City? New York City would be a huge change!

@skipt07 I was born in the Bronx, but moved before I was 2 out to Long Island (we're also the land of Win Rockefeller here). After college and teaching a year on Long Island, I moved to Arkansas and been here since 1961. The last time I was back to New York was mid 1970's - oh the changes I'd see, huh!

@milaniet - The home of the Bronx Bombers. I grew up a huge Yankee fan. Actually more of a Mickey Mantle fan. Being that I live somewhat close to Cleveland, we'd go to watch the Indians play the Yankees. The only time I was ever in or around the Bronx was while I was in the Army. I on a couple of occasions had to drive on the Bronx Parkway. One time I thought I was going to die. We hit the Parkway at the wrong time and it was bumper to bumper traffic and everybody was moving along at a good pace. We were in the right lane and approaching an on ramp. I could see ahead a line of traffic coming down the ramp. I realize they were going to merge about the time we were at the end of the ramp. I was on the tail of the guy in front of me, there was a line right behind me and the left lane was solid. I didn't want to hit the brakes or slow down for fear of causing a major pile up and I couldn't get over. At the very last minute the guy beside me backed off and made a space for me in the left lane. I have no idea what happened to the other cars coming down the ramp. I looked in my rearview mirror but didn't see any signs of cars plowing into one another. :-) As you can tell it left an unforgettable impression on me!
