Spotted this lone thistle (didn't know at the time what it was) out in the field among all the Queen Anne's Lace - went traipsing out to see it through waist high grass. This plant was over 4 feet tall. Made the mistake of touching one of the leaves - wow they're sharp! I now know about thistle!
Lovely collage! They do have pretty blossoms but so hard to get rid of if you get them in your yard! Our neighbors let their yard go wild and some of their thistles made it into our yard. Arrrrgh!
