Standing His Ground

This young male cardinal was born with several deformities - one being very similar to a cleft palate - but they don't deter him. He has to eat from inside the box rather than standing on the edge like most do, but he can hold his own against all of the bigger birds. Not aggressive, but stands his ground. Spends most of the day in the backyard.
