Not So Much Overcrowding Back Then

This is for the town challenge. It's a picture of Ozark's old jail built in 1914 of native limestone
and designed to resemble a medieval castle with the Roman style arch and interesting parapet. The prisoners were housed in cells on the 2nd floor (they're still there) while the sheriff and family lived on the 1st floor. It was in use until 1975 when the new jail was built. This was bought and used as a lawyer's office (with the best view in town - right on the Arkansas River below the arched bridge). It is now empty.
FAV! Love the beautiful light on the stones, the interesting architecture, the eerie vines, your wonderful commentary...I could go on and on!
